For more than 20 years, Silverwax has specialized in the development of detailing products for all types of vehicles. Innovation and the performance of our products are at the center of our priorities.
1976
Les Entreprises Plein-Sol are born in Quebec City on Chemin Ste-Foy. Originally, the company specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of carpet cleaning products.
The company moves to larger premises on Wilfrid-Hamel boulevard and redirects its activities towards the development and manufacturing of cleaning products for buildings and vehicles in addition to distributing a complete line of industrial hand cleaners.

1995
The company abandons its former name (Les Entreprises Plein-Sol ) and becomes Laboratoire Hygienex. At the same time, it intensifies exportations toward the US of its home products and range of specialized hand cleaners : AKTIF.
With over 23 years of experience in the conception and manufacturing of cleaning products, the company undertakes the development of an all new product line intended for use by automotive aesthetic professionals: Silverwax Car Care products.
1999
2012
Laboratoire Hygienex moves into its newly built premises on Zéphirin-Paquet Street. This new location includes a complete car care store, a training center and a cutting edge research and development laboratory.
Noting a growing demand for its Silverwax line, the company launches a range of 27 car care products destined to the retail market. This line includes the brand’s flagship product: Silverwax double polymer paint sealant.

Silverwax products are distributed across Quebec in all Canadian Tire locations.
Silverwax products make their entry on the Canadian market through the Canadian Tire stores network. After 2 years of development, the Silverwax Moto, Silverwax Marine and Silverwax RV product lines are launched to meet the specific needs of these types of vehicles.

Having spent over 20 years developing itself and making a name for ourselves in the car detailing market, Silverwax is transforming its identity and changing its brand image for a more refined and minimalist approach with the aim of expanding its international market. A new collection under the name Ceramic Series, with Sio2 and highly performant, is born within this change.
