Unable to find accessible professional-quality car care products on the market that met his standards, Richard decided to create his own.

1999

Where Passion Became a Brand

With more than 23 years of experience in the development and manufacturing of cleaning products, Richard Pelchat combined his technical expertise with a deep passion for cars to create Silverwax. What began as a personal vision quickly became a brand dedicated to professional-grade car care, built on performance, innovation, and pride in craftsmanship.

2012

Growing Without Compromise

As the brand gained momentum, growth demanded more space. Silverwax built a new facility designed to maintain full control over quality at every stage—from formulation and manufacturing to distribution. This expansion included a dedicated garage, a retail store, and the now-iconic laboratory where innovation truly comes to life.

2013

Listening to Enthusiasts

Inspired by the growing community of detailing enthusiasts, the Silverwax product line expanded rapidly. By 2013, more than 27 products were available to meet real-world needs. Among them, the Double Polymer Paint Sealant emerged as a standout— quickly becoming a fan favorite for its performance and reliability.

2015

A Major Canadian Partnership

A partnership between two key Canadian players in the automotive market marked a defining moment for the brand. Silverwax products entered Canadian Tire stores, bringing professional-grade car care solutions to a wider audience and reinforcing the brand’s credibility on a national retail stage. This milestone solidified Silverwax as a trusted name in car care nationwide, recognized for its performance, reliability, and proud Canadian roots.

2021

The Ceramic Series

Always at the forefront of technology, Silverwax launched the Ceramic Series in 2021. Built with high-performance SiO₂ technology, this new range set a new standard in durability, protection, and gloss — meeting the evolving expectations of modern detailing enthusiasts and professionals alike.

2025

Diamond Technology Revolution

In 2025, Silverwax introduced a breakthrough innovation that redefined vehicle protection. Powered by nano diamond particles, Diamond Technology delivers unmatched durability and a brilliant, diamond-like finish.
